A little behind the scenes of baby Georgia having a treatment with Shannon.

Georgia has been seeing Shannon for support with eczema flare ups, digestive upset and some nervous system regulation. Shannon has been using Homeopathic medicine in conjunction with the treatment to help Georgia.

To all the mothers who hold it and everything together.
On the good days, on the normal days and on the downright hard days.
And sometimes not so successfully!!
I see you because I am you.
My kids have taught me soooo much! With four kids who are now teenagers, it’s a whole new world of non judgmental parenting 😧!

Also here’s to our mothers who raised us and our grandmothers and great great grandmothers and on and on. We wouldn’t be anything (literally) without you.

Welcome Corey Flanagan, our newest physiotherapist at BodyIQ.

Corey is a Port Macquarie local who loves working with musculoskeletal issues, focusing on restoring the body to its normal movement pattern.

He works closely with Anthony, Shannon & Irene, using a collaborative approach. He also offers Rehabilitation Pilates on Tuesdays at 4pm.

Jacki.
Here’s a little shout out to Jacki. Jacki is the teams main receptionist. She keeps us and our schedules intact.
She is the friendly smiling face you see when you walk in. Always up for a chat and still somehow managing to keep all the ducks in order.
A local Wauchope girl.
Fun fact about Jacki. She has a bachelor in animal science. And she has one of the most beautiful voices and she hold crystal singing bowl mediations at the clinic which are beyond words, time and space. They are an experience!
What a wonder! Thank you Jacki for all you do in our little but crazy busy clinic.

Vertebral Columns and Their Anatomical Similarities to Animals


🔹 In anatomy, visual analogies are used to facilitate the understanding of complex shapes and to embed them in memory. One of the most famous analogies is comparing some vertebrae of the spinal column to the shapes of well-known animals.
🔹 Cervical vertebrae – Elephant head (C1–C7)
They are characterized by prominent transverse processes, and when viewed from certain angles, they resemble an elephant’s head, where the lateral projections represent the ears, and the spinous process corresponds to the center of the head.
🔹 Thoracic vertebrae – Giraffe head (T1–T12)
The thoracic vertebrae, which are connected to the ribs, have a longer and backward-tilted spinous process, giving a shape close to a giraffe’s head, while the rib joints resemble the position of the ears.
🔹 Lumbar vertebrae – Jaw head (L1–L5)
They are the strongest and largest in size, characterized by broad transverse extensions forming a shape resembling a jaw with projections that mimic its strong bones.
