Before you taste it, you smell it.

The rich aroma. The gentle steam rising from the mug. The promise of something warm, savoury and comforting.

Then comes the first sip.

Deep flavour. A satisfying mouthfeel. The kind of nourishment that feels less like a health routine and more like a moment you'll actually look forward to.

Because food as medicine shouldn't taste like medicine.

A room full of women in business choosing growth over comfort.
Connection over competition.
And showing up for themselves even when life already feels full.

That’s the kind of energy you can’t fake.

Today’s meetup was a reminder of why this community matters so much.
Honest conversations.
Big vision.
Nervous-system-safe spaces.
Women cheering for each other instead of sizing each other up.

No pretending.
No pressure.
Just real connection and women remembering they don’t have to do life - or business - alone.

So grateful for every woman who walked through the door today.
You made the room what it was.

When did you last actually stop and eat something real today? Not grabbed something standing at the bench - actually sat down and nourished yourself. Drop an honest answer below. 👇

When the PR team wants to say "carefully crafted functional nourishment" but the social team just says what we're all thinking. 😅

Warm. Salty. Comforting. Basically a regulated nervous system in a mug. 🍵

Our Free Range Chicken Bone Broth - same recipe, same love, two very different ways of explaining it.

Which team are you on? Drop it below 👇

Some mornings the most healing thing isn't a supplement or a morning routine.

It's just sitting quietly with something warm.

This is mine this morning. Chicken soup made with bone broth - simple, nourishing, grounding.

Mother’s Day can hold a lot of different feelings.

For some, it’s breakfast in bed and handmade cards.
For others, it’s grief, exhaustion, longing, complicated relationships, fertility struggles, or simply trying to get through another busy Sunday.

Wherever today finds you, we hope you get a moment to feel cared for too.

A warm cup of broth.
Five quiet minutes.
Something nourishing in the middle of the chaos.

That counts.
To the mums, step mums, grandmothers, carers, mother figures, and the women holding everyone together while running on empty, this is your reminder that nourishment matters for you too.

And for anyone finding today hard, we’re holding space for that too.

I started drinking bone broth when I was pregnant.

I had no idea I'd still be drinking it twelve years later.

What began as a recommendation from a book on pregnancy nutrition turned into recipes built from scratch, a brand stocked in Woolworths and Harris Farm, and a whole lot of lived experience in between.

Postpartum. Burnout. Perimenopause. Building a business while raising kids.

Bone broth has shown up for me through every single one of those chapters.

And now The Broth Sisters is evolving to show up for the women living them too.

This is your reminder that bone broth doesn’t have to live in a pot.

It can look like this.

Shared. Warm. Easy. Sipped straight from a cup.
When it’s made properly, you don’t need to hide it in a recipe.

You just drink it.

Ever bought bone broth and wondered if it’s actually any good?

Not all bone broths are created equal.

If you’ve ever stood in the supermarket wondering which bone broth is actually worth buying, you’re not alone.

Bone broth has become incredibly popular in Australia, but the quality can vary dramatically depending on how it’s made.

A well-made bone broth usually comes down to a few key things:

• the quality of the bones used
• how long the broth is simmered
• the bone-to-water ratio
• the level of naturally occurring protein in the final broth

Traditionally prepared bone broth is simmered for many hours to properly extract collagen, gelatin and amino acids from the bones.

When this process is done well, the broth develops a rich flavour and often forms gelatin when cooled. This is a sign that collagen has been properly extracted.

Another useful indicator can be the protein content per serving. Broths made with a higher bone-to-water ratio often contain more naturally occurring protein because more bones were used during cooking.

Some traditional liquid broths contain 10 grams or more of protein per serving, which usually reflects a well-extracted broth.

I’ve written a full guide explaining:

• what makes a high-quality bone broth
• how concentrates compare with traditional liquid broths
• what to look for when buying bone broth in Australia
• simple ways to use broth daily

If you want to understand how to choose a good bone broth, you can read the full article.

Most bone broth is sold as a cooking ingredient.

Something you add to soups or sauces.

That is exactly the problem I ran into years ago.
I wanted the benefits of broth...
but I did not want to cook with it every day.

And most of the broths I tried?
They were not something you would actually sit and sip.

So we made broth that you can.

Not broth you hide in a recipe.

Broth you pour into a mug.

Broth that is good enough to drink.

Because when something is simple and enjoyable,
you are far more likely to make it part of your day.
