Recently, our team came together in Melbourne for our first All Teams Day since joining the Smartbox Family.

Team members travelled from across Australia to connect, collaborate and spend valuable time together in person. We were also delighted to welcome Emma from Smartbox UK , Matthias from Udaption in Germany, and Tomas from our partner in New Zealand, making it a truly international event.

Emma shared updates on the latest developments and initiatives across the global Smartbox network, and we worked together on strategic planning for the future.

Matthias led hands-on training ahead of the launch of our new Udaption mounting range. We’re particularly excited to expand our offering in wheelchair mounting to complement our range of AAC devices and software, bringing holistic solutions to the people and professionals we support.

On the last day, we enjoyed a fun team-building activity, rounding out a great few days.

While we work closely every day from different locations across Australia, there is something special about coming together face-to-face. It was a fantastic time of learning, connection and teamwork, and we're excited about what lies ahead.

When she lost her voice to MND, she thought she’d never hear it again. But using just eight seconds of VHS footage, Grid and helped recreate her voice - capturing her Cockney accent, her familiar lisp, and the warmth her family remembers.

A new AI toolbar is now available in an AI version of Text Talker.

Powered by the Smart Prompt command, this grid set brings together a range of AI tools to help you expand and refine text, translate sentences, explore synonyms, and create your own custom prompts.

Make sure you’re using the latest version of Grid, are online, and have opted in to Online AI tools to try it out. You can add it your Grid by going to: Menu > Add grid set > Text vocabularies > Text Talker AI beta.

We’ve just finished two amazing days at the ATSA Independent Living Expo in Brisbane 👋

It’s been a privilege to spend time with AAC users, families, clinicians, educators, and support teams, and to share hands-on experiences with eye gaze and communication technology.

Across both the Sydney and Brisbane expos, we’ve really valued seeing people engage with AAC in their own way - from trying the technology for the first time, to revisiting it after many years, and discovering what feels right for them now.

Thank you to everyone who visited our stand, connected with our team, and contributed to such open and meaningful conversations throughout the event.

We’re heading home feeling grateful for the connections made and inspired by the conversations across both ATSA expos in Sydney and Brisbane.
