Om Gaṃ Gaṇapataye Namaįø„
Om Gaṃ Gaṇapataye Namaįø„

Jai Gaṇeśa— Victory/glory to Gaṇeśa; an invocation of his wisdom and auspicious presence.

Pāhimām— Protect me / watch over me.

ŚrÄ« Gaṇeśa— Reverence to blessed, auspicious Gaṇeśa.

Rakį¹£amām — Protect me / keep me safe.

Om Gaṃ Gaṇapataye Namaįø„ Om, salutations to Gaṇapati (Gaṇeśa). Gaṃ is Gaṇeśa’s traditional bÄ«ja, or seed mantra.

Together, the chant is an invocation to Gaṇeśa as the remover of obstacles and guardian of new beginnings, asking for protection, wisdom and guidance as we move forward:

May the obstacles before me be cleared. May I be protected and guided by wisdom as I step into what comes next.🪷

The practice of yoga invites us to notice what is moving beneath the surface.

Our saṃskāras, the patterns, impressions and conditioning we carry can quietly shape the way we think, react and move through the world.

The aspiration isn’t to become perfectly aware or to never fall back into old patterns. We’re human. Sometimes our patterns will lead the way before we even realise it.

Perhaps the practice is simply becoming a little more aware of what is moving within us, creating a little more space between the pattern and our response.

And in that space, slowly, we may find more freedom to choose differently.

An ongoing practice of noticing, softening and choosing again. šŸ¤

What if you got to write the next part of the story?

One of my favourite questions to explore through NLP coaching is:
ā€œIf I were to write the script from now, what would I like it to be?ā€

So much of the meaning we give our experiences is shaped by the narratives we have unconsciously created around them, what something means about us, what we believe will happen next, or what we think is possible.

NLP invites us to become curious about those narratives and recognise that the story we’ve been telling isn’t necessarily the only story available to us.
This isn’t about denying reality or pretending difficult experiences didn’t happen.

It’s about asking:
If I am resourced enough to imagine something different, what would I actually like to create from here?

Sometimes we can’t rewrite what has already happened, but we can begin to consciously participate in what we write next

Patañjali offers us the practice of pratipakṣa bhāvanam, when the mind becomes disturbed or caught in a particular pattern, we can consciously contemplate its opposite.

So when the mind becomes fixated on uncertainty, perhaps the invitation is to gently turn towards what you know to be certain, right here and now.

I am here.
I am breathing.
The ground is beneath me.
I am okay in this moment.
I can meet the next step when it arrives.

We don’t need certainty about the whole path to find steadiness in the step we’re standing in.

Sometimes navigating uncertainty isn’t about finding more answers. It’s about loosening our grip on what we cannot know yet and returning to what is true now šŸ¤

Sometimes we wait for certainty before we move.. wanting to know the decision is right, the timing is perfect, or exactly where the path will lead.
But clarity doesn’t always come before movement. Sometimes clarity is created through the movement itself.
Things I like to remember when moving through uncertainty:
šŸ¤You can move slowly.
šŸ¤You can change direction.
šŸ¤You can pause and reassess.
šŸ¤You can make a choice with the information you have now and choose differently when you know more.

Being unsure doesn’t mean you’re lost. It might simply mean you’re somewhere between what was familiar and what is still becoming 🌺

So perhaps the question isn’t ā€œHow do I gain complete certainty?ā€
But more…
ā€œWhat feels like the most honest next step from where I am today?ā€

You’re allowed to be unsure and still move forward

Change doesn’t always arrive gracefully.

Sometimes it feels clunky, unfamiliar, even uncomfortable because we’re learning a rhythm our system doesn’t know yet.

The old way no longer fits, but the new way hasn’t quite become home yet.

Maybe that space isn’t something to rush through.

Maybe it’s where discernment is born.

Where we learn what is ours to carry forward, what we’re ready to release, and who we are when the familiar structures around us begin to shift.

I wonder if the deeper practice is learning to become our own inner home through the churn.

To adjust without abandoning ourselves.
To soften without losing ourselves.
To trust that awkwardness doesn’t always mean something is wrong.

Sometimes it simply means something new is finding its rhythm.

And perhaps that is where a stronger sense of self begins. šŸ¤
