What a journey this has been.

We are so incredibly proud to officially announce that Rise Disability Support Services Pty Ltd is now a Registered NDIS Provider 💜

There has been so much hard work, time, growth and dedication behind the scenes to reach this milestone, and seeing it all come together feels very special.

To our amazing team, participants, families and supporters, thank you for being part of the Rise journey and believing in what we do every day. We truly couldn’t have done it without you all 🫶

This is such a proud moment for us, and we’re so excited for what’s ahead.

What we’re looking for:
• Cert IV in Disability (or currently studying)
• Reliable, committed, and passionate
• Experience in disability or mental health (lived or worked)
• Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
• Availability for some evenings and weekends

Pre-start requirements:
• First Aid & CPR
• Police Check
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Working With Children Check

This April marks Autism Awareness Month! To recognise the month, Council will offer a range of free, inclusive initiatives designed to support individuals, families and carers.

🎥🍿FREE MOVIE SCREENING
Enjoy a free, relaxed screening of Despicable Me 4 at the Portland Arts Centre on Wednesday 1 April.

Doors open at 9.30am for a 10.00am start.

To make this session as inclusive as possible, audience members are free to move and vocalise as they need and there will be dimmed lighting, no foyer music and a quiet space available for attendees to decompress.

Huge congratulations to Jake Patterson on an incredible Grand Final performance 💙💛

An outstanding 104 and a well-deserved Player of the Match, we’re incredibly proud to support Jake.

Well done Jake, and congrats to Go Ports on an amazing win! 🏆💙💛

💛 Grand Final Match Report 💙

A perfect day of for cricket saw Go Ports bat first, posting a very strong total of 5/212 off their 40 overs, courteous of a Jake Patterson masterclass who batted the length of the innings to score an uneaten 104. He was well supported by Andre Wallace & Paul Ritchie who both chipped in with 34 runs. A brilliant team bowling effort saw Luke Rietman, Stephen O’Brien & Cameron Harker claim 2 wickets a piece to help knock Portland Tigers over for just 88 runs, falling well short of their required total. Jake Pattersons century was enough for him to claim man of the match honours, he is proudly sponsored by Rise Disability. Congratulations Jake, first of many in the blue and gold 💛💙

An incredible day for our club, with celebrations going well into the night. Thank you all for coming and supporting, we saw great numbers throughout the course of the day and the boys couldn’t have got it done without your support. It takes a club 💛💙

We’ll be back bigger and stronger next year to do it all again 🔥

🏅 Tri State Games 2026 – Mildura 🏅

We’re excited to start planning for the Tri State Games in Mildura from 9–14 November 2026!

This is an amazing opportunity for participants to travel together, meet new people, try different sports, and be part of a really fun and supportive event.

We are now opening Expressions of Interest for anyone who may like to attend. This will help us begin planning supports, accommodation, transport, and registrations.

We’re growing at RISE 🌿

RISE Disability Support Services is seeking a reliable and detail oriented Finance Administration Officer to join our team.

This is a part time position, 8 hours per week, with availability required on Mondays and Fridays. There is opportunity for additional hours as the organisation continues to grow.

This role will support our financial operations, including invoicing, payroll assistance and general finance administration. Experience in bookkeeping or accounts is preferred, and knowledge of Xero, Employment Hero or NDIS billing is highly regarded.

We are looking for someone organised, trustworthy and confident working independently, who values structure and takes pride in accuracy.
