Collagen is the foundation of healthy, resilient skin. It’s the structural protein responsible for firmness, support and skin quality, helping the skin maintain its strength, elasticity and overall integrity over time.

From our mid-20s, collagen production naturally begins to decline, influenced by factors such as UV exposure, stress, lifestyle and hormonal changes. This gradual loss can contribute to fine lines, laxity, thinning and changes in texture.

A considered approach to skin health focuses on both protecting existing collagen and stimulating new collagen production where appropriate, using evidence-based skincare and treatments tailored to the individual.

For those of you that are new 👋
Not your typical doctor account.
I’m Dr. Amy Chahal - medical doctor, minimally invasive expert, and founder of and . I’ve spent over a decade in clinical medicine and aesthetics, and I created this space to cut through the noise with education you can actually trust.

A little look inside The Centre for Medical Aesthetics.
Every consultation, every treatment, every conversation starts from the same place - understanding you. Your skin, your history, your goals, and what’s actually going to serve you long-term.
Medical aesthetics done well is never one-size-fits-all. It’s slow, considered, and built on clinical knowledge first.
If you’re curious about what a medically-led approach to skin and minimally invasive aesthetics looks like, our link in bio is a good place to start.

Last night we hosted a beautiful evening at FutureSkin with Hydrafacial, bringing together education, skin conversations, and a little glamour.

We spoke about how hormones can change the skin through different life stages, from breakouts and sensitivity to dryness, pigmentation and loss of radiance, and why personalised treatment plans matter.

Guests experienced a live Hydrafacial demo, explored the space, asked thoughtful questions, and enjoyed a genuinely lovely atmosphere with so many familiar and new faces in the room.

Moments like this remind me why I created FutureSkin. A place where expertise, experience and aesthetics meet in a way that feels warm, refined and approachable.

Thank you to everyone who came, and to Hydrafacial for partnering with us for such a special night. More to come.

In my 40s, I stopped chasing my 20s and my face, my body and my business got better for it.

Four things I quit, and what I do instead.

Save this one for the next time someone tells you “a little one off treatment will fix it.”

The people I treat at TCMA aren’t looking to be fixed. They’re looking to be listened to by a doctor who understands the long game. That’s the clinic I built. That’s the work I do.

Tell me in the comments - what have you stopped doing in your 40s that you wish you’d stopped in your 30s or 20s?
