What age do we start losing collagen?
Earlier than most people think.
Collagen production begins to decline in our mid to late 20s, and while the change is gradual, it adds up over time. Skin may become less firm, less resilient, and slower to recover.
The good news is that ageing isn’t determined by one birthday. Genetics, sun exposure, lifestyle, skincare, and treatment choices all play a role in how our skin ages.
That’s why I focus less on age and more on skin quality. The earlier we support collagen and protect what we already have, the better positioned we are for the years ahead.
