Ever wondered about the difference between LED light therapy wavelengths?
With so many rainbow settings on the market, it’s easy to get lost in the glow. In clinical aesthetics, we focus strictly on evidence based results which is why Red, Blue, Purple, and Near-Infrared (NIR) are our gold standards.
The Breakdown:
Blue Light (415nm): The blemish buster. It targets and neutralises C. acnes bacteria living on the skin’s surface to clear active breakouts, regulate sebum, and prevent future congestion without stripping the barrier.
Red Light (633nm): The cellular energiser. Red light penetrates deep into the dermis to stimulate fibroblasts, ramp up ATP (cellular energy), boost collagen synthesis, and calm systemic redness and inflammation.

Why don’t we use other colours as much?
While shades like green, amber, or yellow are often marketed across social media, the peer-reviewed clinical research behind them is minimal. Red, Blue, and Near-Infrared have decades of independent medical studies proving their efficacy, cellular absorption, and safety.
