Happy Imbolc. The time of deep winter ending and Early Spring beginning (thanks Dance of the Plants for sharing Wurundjeri seasonal knowledge). The time of wattle blooming, orchids, and of the liminal time before blossoms emerge. The hopeful moment before new things begin.
I didn't get to run the workshop Eva and I had planned out for you, due to unforeseen circumstances but I did get to mark this moment in the wheel. I wandered around Gresswell Nature Reserve with my grizzly toddler and beautiful husband, making eyes at the big male kangaroo who kept on munching grass even as we entered it's terrain and flirted with a flock of happy King Parrots. At home we started a little seasonal alter and had a fire. And tonight I had the joy of joining The Gaia Temple's Imbolc event where we awoke the Earth from it's winter slumber with bells and dance in ritual and community. Thanks to Pia from the Gaia temple for hosting these rituals on this land.
I wish you curiosity and mindful attention to the land as it begins to stretch, wake and bloom as we head towards the next astrological marker of the Spring equinox.
