Head and Neck Cancer isn’t often in the national spotlight—but it was on Friday!
We were incredibly honoured to represent the community at the launch of The Songs of John Farnham: A Living Legend – The Celebration Concert — a one-night-only event at Rod Laver Arena on Sunday 20 September.
John Farnham’s openness about his experience with oral cancer over the past few years has had a profound impact. By sharing his story, he has helped raise the voices of thousands of Australians living with Head and Neck Cancer and brought a deeper understanding of head and neck cancer into the public conversation.
With more than 120 artists on stage, including a 38-piece orchestra, choir and the John Farnham Band, this will be an extraordinary night. We’re truly honoured that John and his family have chosen Head and Neck Cancer Australia as the charity beneficiary.
The concert also coincides with HANCA’s 10-year anniversary. We’re incredibly grateful that funds raised will support our work into the next decade—raising awareness, supporting patients, and advocating for care beyond treatment, helping people put the pieces of their lives back together and achieve the best possible quality of life.
And for that, we say thank you — to John and his family, to Gaynor Wheatley, Paul Dainty AO, Tony Cochrane AM and the Victorian Government, to every artist who has given their time, and to every person who chooses to be part of this night by buying a ticket on 2 June. It truly means more than you know.
Tickets go on sale via Ticketek on Tuesday 2 June at 10am. Be reminded first: https://arep.co/m/john-farnham
