With assessments and internships just around the corner, our NQRTH team kindly provided our senior med students in Townsville with the opportunity for a quick time-out from their busy schedules!

At a recent wellbeing morning tea, the Clinical School, Clinical Facilitators, Regional Training Hubs and Academic Services staff came together for a catch up with the students to support them on the journey into internship and beyond!

Head of Clinical School Prof Tarun Sen Gupta introduced the staff so the students could get to know everyone they are interacting with across the different facilities they visit in the region.

💻Calling all Anki fanatics across Australia and New Zealand! Come and join the official launch of the bi-national student-run clinical medicine Anki project on Thursday the 5th of September 2024 at 7:30pm AEST, delivered in partnership with AMSA Med Ed.

Run by a team of dedicated senior medical students and junior doctors across Australia and New Zealand, including from JCU, the mission of the "Malleus Clinical Medicine Anki Project" is to create a dedicated, accessible and high-quality clinical medicine deck, build on local guidelines like eTG and Talley & O'Connor and tagged efficiently according to subject and rotation. You will hear from some of the senior collaborators across WA, SA and QLD working on the project speak to discuss its status and future direction, as well as answer any questions at the end!

Help select Queensland’s future health workforce, by selecting our future doctors!
To produce doctors who are passionate about serving our regional, rural and remote communities, it is vital that these communities are involved in the process from day one.

The JCU College of Medicine and Dentistry invites clinicians, members of the public, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community members, and JCU staff/adjuncts to be involved as part of medical student selection panels for JCU’s Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course.

Interviews will be held from 26 November – 5 December 2024 and on 2 and 3 January 2025.

The Psychiatry Interest Forum (https://www.facebook.com/psychiatryinterestforum/) is supporting the 2024 Facilitated Networking Activity at JCU. This activity allows medical students to get early career support, and prepare for rotations and the training program.

There will be 3 one-hour networking sessions held in September, including 2 sessions on the JCU campus and 1 session online.

In the form, you'll need to nominate your available dates between Tuesday 10 September and Thursday 19 September.
