We’ve been busy giving things a fresh new look! 💪

Our refurbishment days are all about getting stuck in, working together and giving old items a new lease on life. From cleaning and preparing to painting, fixing and transforming, there’s always something to get involved in! 🪑🎨🧹

It’s a great opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence, work as a team and have some fun along the way. 🙌💙

We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on! 👀✨

🐋 WHALE, WHAT A DAY! 🌊💙

Yesterday, our group headed out for an incredible whale-watching adventure! 🐋✨

We started the day with a little stroll through the Redcliffe Markets, checking out the stalls and soaking up the atmosphere before it was time to board the boat. ⛵️

Once we were out on the water, it didn’t take long for the magic to begin... we spotted SIX whales! 🤩🐋 Even better, they came super close to the boat, giving us an unforgettable view!

Such an amazing day filled with adventure, beautiful scenery, great company and some very special visitors from the ocean. 💙🌊

Our Founder and Director, Maria Tsalamandris, has been recognised as The Most Outstanding Care Exemplar in Disability Services in Australia for 2026 at the Enablement Awards! 🎉👏

The Enablement Awards celebrate excellence, innovation and outstanding achievement across the disability care sector in Australasia, recognising people who are helping raise the standard of care and create better experiences for people with disability.

This recognition reflects Maria’s passion, leadership and commitment to doing things differently - challenging what’s considered “normal”, creating opportunities and putting people at the heart of everything we do at Freedom.

Brie loves being part of the Cooking Crew - spending time with everyone, learning new skills and, of course, enjoying some delicious food! 👩‍🍳💜

Her favourite so far? Charcoal chicken packed with flavour! 🍗 And when it comes to cuisine, Greek food takes the top spot.

We love seeing our Cooking Crew come together, build confidence in the kitchen and have fun along the way. 🌟

What a weekend! Our Rampant Rhinos 💚🦏 went head-to-head with the Mighty Mustangs 💙🐎 for an action-packed day of fun, teamwork and a little friendly competition! 💪🔥

The teams battled it out in:
🏐 Dodgeball
🪢 Tug of War
🏹 Archery
💪 Shot Put
🏃 Relay Races
🥔 Sack Races
🧩 Problem-Solving Challenges

There were plenty of friendly competition, some serious determination and incredible teamwork from both teams! 🙌
