📚✨ Last week was full of Book Week magic!

Big imaginations, favourite characters and plenty of smiles — we loved seeing everyone bring their stories to life. 💛

You’ve seen their days… now it’s time to hear about them 🤎🎤
We’re always sharing little moments from our participants’ days at Tautua, but this time, we wanted to hand the mic over to them.
From fitness and activities to plenty of laughs along the way — here’s what they had to say about their day! 🫶🏽
Because their experiences are always better told in their own words. 🤎

TSS DAY OUT AT HIJINX 🧩
Our participants enjoyed an exciting outing to Hijinx Hotel, where they challenged themselves with interactive games, teamwork activities, and plenty of fun. These community experiences help build confidence, social connections, and independence while creating lasting memories. A fantastic day filled with smiles, achievement, competitiveness and adventure for everyone involved! 🌟

Behind every growing organisation are people quietly building the systems that make growth possible.

Nathan joined the Tautua Group two years ago through REDY Services. Since then, he has continued to grow alongside the organisation, now serving as our Finance Operations Manager, overseeing our payroll functions, HR, and leading our Business Optimisation initiatives. His work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt across the entire organisation.

“There’s a culture of continuous improvement here. You’re encouraged to go beyond your own limitations and beyond what’s technically required. Because of that, it’s easy to keep learning, developing new skills and finding your flow.”

Nathan sees a future where Tautua continues to expand into new markets, reaching more people and creating greater opportunities for the communities we serve.

“We seem to keep growing every week. Everyone is super friendly and genuinely supportive, and you can feel that you’re part of something bigger.”
Working behind the scenes, Nathan plays a key role in sequencing business projects, strengthening our internal operations, and helping bring the organisation’s vision to life. For him, business optimisation isn’t simply about improving processes it’s about creating better outcomes for our participants, empowering our people, and ensuring Tautua can continue making a lasting difference in more communities.

We are incredibly grateful to journey alongside ‘Nate’. His insights are invaluable, his commitment to continuous improvement strengthens every part of our organisation, and he is a much loved part of the Tautua family.

Thank you, Nate, for everything you do to help us serve others with excellence.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

1 Peter 4:10

Behind every great organisation are people who quietly dedicate their lives to serving others.

Meet Sione Haunga our Senior Operations Manager.

Five years ago, Sione became Tautua’s very first employee. He started as a Support Worker and today leads our Operations across Queensland and Victoria. Sione has witnessed every chapter of Tautua’s story.

When asked what makes working at Tautua different, his answer was simple:

“The vision. It’s about the participant, it’s about their families, their community and ultimately how we can serve the world around them.”

“I find a lot of purpose in my job.”

For Sione, the vision has never simply been about growth.

“The village concept… to step out and help more people, more families.”

Looking back on the journey, Sione sees a thriving, purpose-led movement that serves all people, all ethnicities and all communities, with faith in God at the centre of everything we do.

Perhaps the words that best define his heart are these:

“On a personal level, with my faith… how can I be more like Jesus and serve.”

Sione is the walking embodiment of Tautua’s values. He leads with humility, serves without recognition, and continually puts others before himself. His leadership has helped shape the culture, quality and standard of care that our participants and families experience every day.

Thank you, Sione, for believing in the vision from day one, for your unwavering leadership over the past five years, and for the impact you continue to have on our participants, families, team and community.

We are truly blessed to have you as part of the Tautua family. ❤️

Leone | Senior Operations Manager

For more than four years, Leone has been an integral part of the Tautua journey. As one of our Senior Operations Managers, she has helped shape the culture, strengthen our operations and mentor the teams who deliver support every day. She works closely with Support Workers, participants, families, guardians and stakeholders, while providing operational oversight across our Supported Independent Living homes to ensure every person receives quality, person centred support. Leone leads with a genuine heart for our participants, families and colleagues alike, and her commitment to service is reflected in every relationship she builds.

When asked what makes Tautua different...
“What makes us different is we’re supporting people from all different cultures. There’s a real connection to community here.”

For Leone, Tautua has become much more than a workplace.
“I love coming to work. I love the culture. I love the challenge.”

Having witnessed the organisation’s growth over the past four years, she’s excited about what lies ahead.
“I’ve seen how much we’ve grown over the last four years. We’re only getting bigger and better, and it’s exciting to see the opportunities being created for our team. Our Support Workers have more opportunities to learn, grow and build meaningful careers.”

When asked what Tautua means to her, her answer is simple, heartfelt and speaks volumes.
“Tautua is a part of my life now. I’m with an organisation that’s so supportive.”

Leone’s journey reflects the very heart of Tautua. Her leadership, dedication and belief in people have helped shape an organisation where culture is celebrated, communities are strengthened and every person is given the opportunity to belong, grow and thrive.

Every family hopes to find a place where their loved one is not only supported, but genuinely belongs.

For Edwina and her family, they were searching for a Supported Independent Living provider that could help Gara build her independence, find her voice and become part of a community where she could truly thrive.

In Edwina’s words:

“From Day 1, we could see the change. Gara kept smiling.”

“The values we hold as a family were already evident and instilled here at Tautua.”

“Her courage and confidence began to build again, all from the programs.”

“Gara now has a voice and feels that here at Tautua.”

Today, Gara is much more than a participant. She is a loved and cherished member of the Tautua family. Her smile lights up every room she walks into, and her warm nature allows her to connect so beautifully with everyone around her. Watching her confidence, courage and independence continue to grow has been an absolute privilege.

To Edwina and your entire family, thank you for trusting us with Gara’s journey and allowing us to walk alongside her.

A special thank you to Gara’s father, Le Afioga ia To’omata Sunu Leota ❤️, for sharing such a heartfelt testimony. Your words meant so much to our entire team.

Stories like Gara’s remind us why we do what we do. Together, we continue to build a place where every person belongs, every voice matters and every journey is valued.

One ocean, many nations. 🛶
