With Homelessness Week underway here in Australia (3–9 August), it feels like the right moment to spotlight VATECH UK’s ongoing commitment to people living without stable access to care.

For many, dental treatment is delayed or missed entirely, and pain quietly becomes part of everyday life. Without timely diagnosis, oral health problems don’t just worsen physically; they chip away at confidence, communication, and daily routine.

Within this existing structure, VATECH took part in the on-site effort, working alongside those who have been sustaining this work over time, because lasting change comes from showing up, again and again.

UK Homeless Dental Care — Where Companies and Dentists Meet 🦷

This Homelessness Week here in Australia, we’re also looking at the work our VATECH UK team is doing to tackle a barrier that’s too often overlooked: dental care access for people experiencing homelessness in London.

Shame, low self-esteem, and circumstances beyond their control keep many from ever sitting in a dentist’s chair, while their oral health quietly worsens. VATECH is working to shorten that road and bring care within reach.

As Homelessness Week reminds us to act on housing and dignity here at home, it’s a timely moment to recognise that access to basic care, dental included, is part of the same fight, wherever in the world it’s happening.
