For those who are new here and even those who’ve been along for the ride for years, I thought I’d share a little more about the woman behind Hairfree and Channie Reiki & Healing.
I’m Chantel but go by Channie 💚
A beauty business owner, energy healer, professional problem solver, serial overthinker, lover of deep conversations, believer in signs from the universe, and someone who is equally comfortable talking about skin cells, laser hair removal, chakras, spirit guides, galactic beings and why Mercury retrograde is causing absolute chaos.
I took over Hairfree in 2018, but my journey with the business started years before that. Since then, it’s been one hell of a ride. The glamorous side of business ownership isn’t always what social media shows. Behind the scenes there have been tears, sacrifices, health battles, long days, sleepless nights, lessons, wins, losses and plenty of moments where I’ve wondered what the universe was trying to teach me next.
I live with a body that occasionally likes to remind me who’s really in charge. Yet somehow, every challenge has taught me resilience, compassion and a deeper understanding of what it means to truly heal.
Because of that, my passion has evolved beyond beauty alone.
Don’t get me wrong—I absolutely love helping people feel confident in their skin through laser hair removal and advanced skin treatments. But I’ve also learned that sometimes what people need goes much deeper than the surface.
That’s what led me further into Reiki, Shamanism, energy healing, sound healing and spiritual work. I’ve been open spiritually since I was brought into this world, I’m now just not dimming my own light anymore ✨😍🤩
I believe healing isn’t one-size-fits-all.
Sometimes it’s a skin treatment.
Sometimes it’s a conversation.
Sometimes it’s a Reiki session.
Sometimes it’s a cry in the treatment room followed by a laugh five minutes later.
And honestly? I’m here for all of it.
