Camp 2026, Here We Come! ☀️🌱

We’re ready for our best summer yet! Our incredible team of returning counselors and enthusiastic new staff members are gearing up to take HealthBarn’s hands-on healthy lifestyle adventures to the next level of awesome. From garden-to-table cooking and harvesting fresh vegetables to nature exploration, wellness activities, creative play, and so much more, campers will enjoy wholesome fun and learning—all without screens. Every day is designed to build strong bodies, healthy minds, confidence, friendships, and a lifelong appreciation for healthy living.

With just a few spots remaining, now is the time to register! And for our littlest learners who aren’t quite ready for a full day of camp but are eager to become HealthBarn Taste Testers, be sure to explore our Summer Seedlings program. It’s the perfect introduction to hands-on cooking, gardening, nature discovery, and healthy fun in a nurturing environment designed just for young children.

There may have been testing at Sicomac yesterday, but the kindergartners had the ultimate challenge of their own—transforming into expert taste testers to complete HealthBarn’s 6-week Healthy Snacking Program! 🥗
Their final exam? Navigating the Super Salad Bar and choosing foods from all 5 food groups—deliciously done.

Mission accomplished: building strong bodies and healthy minds, one bite at a time.

A huge thank you to Ms. Maise for partnering with Stacey to bring this program to life five years ago—and to the Sicomac PTO for their continued support. This spring alone, 500+ students are benefiting from this hands-on, empowering experience in Bergen County, NJ👍👍

This week in after-school, it’s all about asparagus love 💚💜 Fresh from the garden in both green and purple, these crunchy spears are just as fun to harvest as they are to munch and chop. The reward? A double thumbs-up creamy asparagus soup that’s as nutritious as it is delicious!
