MEET THE TEAM ~ PRACTICE MANAGER

Hi Robe community, my name is Teresa and I have been fortunate enough to be able to be part of the Robe Family Practice as the Practice Manager.

I’m located in Roxby Downs and mainly work in the background at the practice here, so you might only see me occasionally. In conjunction with Dr Miller and Dr Lockwood I have had the privilege to facilitate/coordinate the new Practice for Robe, with a massive thank you to the Robe Council CEO Nat, and her amazing team, who have helped make this happen. It's been quite the process, but it's been an exciting and positive thing to happen for both you and us. We've been recruiting hard and I believe the team is amazing and you'll always feel welcome and comfortable on the phone and within the clinic — not to mention you have the best doctor!

My background is being a Practice Manager for Sonic Health Plus for 7 years, as well as Roxby Down Doctors Surgery, Penola Doctors, and Observatory Tower Medical Centre — so as you can guess, I'm a very busy person which I love! Outside of work I love to sleep in, socialise, and spend time with my husband and family. I love watching sports (I’m a bit too long in the tooth to play), and don't hold it against me but I'm an Essendon Supporter (AFL) — long overdue to win a Grand Final!

Everyone in Robe has been very welcoming, kind and friendly, so thank you all — I'm really happy to be part of the community and the team at Robe Family Practice. On that note, I'll be in the clinic next Tuesday 26th May, so please don't be shy to say hello and introduce yourself to me.

💉 VACCINATIONS NOW AVAILABLE AT ROBE FAMILY PRACTICE

We’re pleased to let our community know that vaccinations are now available at Robe Family Practice, with a range of vaccines offered free under the National Immunisation Program (NIP).

Available vaccines include:

➡️ Flu vaccines
➡️ RSV vaccines for:
▪️ Adults aged 75 years and over
▪️Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 60 years and over
▪️Pregnant women
➡️ Childhood vaccinations under the National Immunisation Program
➡️ Shingles vaccinations under NIP for eligible patients (please check your eligibility with Medicare, as criteria apply)

Appointments can be made at any time and can be booked online through our website www.robedoctors.com.au, the AMS Connect app, or by phoning reception 7736 3606.

🩺 We're pleased to let our community know that Dr Gail Hedley will be consulting at Robe Family Practice from Monday 18th May to Friday 22nd May.

We understand that, particularly in rural communities, access to a female GP is not always readily available, and for many women this can make a real difference to their comfort and confidence when discussing their health.

We're very happy to be able to offer our patients the opportunity to book appointments with Dr Hedley during her time with us.

📱 New AMS App - Making Appointments Easier

We're excited to let our community know about the AMS mobile app, now available for both new and existing patients at Robe Family Practice.

The app is designed to make accessing care simpler, allowing you to book and manage appointments for yourself and your dependents from the convenience of your phone.

Please note, you can still book appointments via our website or by calling reception if that's your preferred option.

If you need help downloading the app or setting it up, our reception team is happy to assist, drop into the clinic or call us on 7736 3606.

❤️ Opportunity for Patient Participation

We are sharing an opportunity for a woman with a history of cardiovascular disease (heart disease) to take part in a panel discussion with decision makers focused on improving access to care for women in rural and regional areas.

The discussion will be centred on women’s heart health and healthcare access, and lived experience will play an important role in informing future improvements.

Criteria:
▪️Female patient with a history of heart disease

Details:
▪️All travel expenses will be covered
▪️Must be available to travel to Sydney on 20th May

We're very pleased to let you know our online bookings page is now up and running!

After a few initial IT glitches (thank you for your patience), we're excited to be able to offer this service to make booking appointments even easier and more convenient.

You can now book your appointments anytime through our website https://robedoctors.com.au/ - please note, if you're new to the clinic, please book a new patient appointment and arrive 10 minutes early to complete your registration forms.

We hope this makes accessing care just that little bit simpler for our community 💛
