💙 WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING WITH OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY! 💙

This morning, our intern pharmacist Pratik had the wonderful opportunity to present to around 60 beautiful ladies from the Robina VIEW Club at Club Robina 🌸

Pratik covered some really important health topics, including:
🫁 How to use your inhaler correctly
❤️ What your blood pressure numbers actually mean
🩺 How to measure your blood pressure correctly

A huge thank you to the Robina VIEW Club for having us and for the incredibly warm welcome. It was such a pleasure meeting so many wonderful members of our local community. 🥰

Breast awareness means being familiar with how your breasts normally look and feel so that you can notice any changes over time.

There’s no set method or schedule. Just make it a habit of regularly paying attention to your breasts by looking at and feeling them during everyday moments, such as when you’re showering, getting dressed, using body lotion or looking in the mirror.

Being breast aware does not replace having regular screening mammograms if you’re eligible, and other tests as recommended by your doctor.

Being breast aware is a personal and powerful way to take charge of your health, empowering you to understand what’s normal for your body and when to seek medical advice.

We’re excited to introduce Nathan, a 2nd year pharmacy student from The University of Queensland who will be joining us at Robina Village Chempro Chemist this week for his very first pharmacy placement! 👏🎓

Nathan is here to learn, gain real-world experience and put the knowledge he’s developed at university into practice, getting a taste of what life is really like behind the pharmacy counter.

He’s excited to learn from our team, experience community pharmacy firsthand and, most importantly, can’t wait to meet and get to know our wonderful community!

The perception in Australia is that breast cancer is a problem we are overcoming. However the reality is more people are being diagnosed with breast cancer, more lives are being lost, and the impact of breast cancer continues to grow.

We’ve seen remarkable results, but the job's not done. Nine people still die from breast cancer everyday in Australia.

Research is how we end deaths from breast cancer. Every breakthrough that helps prevent, detect, treat and stop breast cancer from returning starts with research. Continued investment in research is essential to saving lives.
