Important update for anyone using Omnipod 5 with a Libre 3 Plus sensor.

There's a temporary NDSS issue, and the Libre 3 Plus compatible Pods can't currently be ordered or collected from NDSS pharmacies.

If you already use Omnipod 5 and are switching to Libre 3 Plus, Omnipod Australia will send your Pods directly to you at no additional cost while this is sorted out. Contact their Operations Team on 1800 954 075 (option 2) or email [email protected].

If you're just starting on Omnipod 5, nothing changes. Starter Kits and your first box of Pods are still being delivered as normal.

Living with diabetes isn't just about check-ups and numbers. It can bring stress, worry and moments that feel overwhelming too. Right now, mental health isn't always part of standard diabetes care, and there's limited long-term data on how it changes over time and when support is needed most.

That's what MIND-MAP is here to change. It's a national study following thousands of Australians with diabetes to better understand emotional wellbeing and mental health experiences over time. The findings will shape future support and care.

The study is led by the Australian Centre for Behavioural Research in Diabetes, a partnership between Deakin University and Diabetes Victoria, with support from the National Health and Medical Research Council.

It's open to Australians aged 18+ living with diabetes (excluding gestational) and we're proud to be helping make sure regional and rural voices are well represented too.

Plus, everyone who takes part and completes the four surveys goes into the draw to win 1 of 20 $100 eGift cards as a thank you for sharing your experience.

These figures aren't news to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities or the health services that work with them. What's changing is that the data is catching up.
Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services and Health Workers know their communities and have been calling for earlier checks, better access to healthy food and properly funded primary care for years.

For us at Macintyre Health, working with people living with diabetes every day, the message is simple: the earlier it's diagnosed, the more options there are. If someone in your family has never had a blood test, it's worth a conversation, and it's a good one to have together.

If diabetes has been wearing you down lately, you're not being dramatic and you're not doing it wrong. It's often called diabetes burnout, also known as diabetes distress, and it's a lot to carry every single day.

The best first step is telling your diabetes team how you're really feeling. If that's us, get in touch. If it's someone else, tell them anyway. You don't need to have it all figured out first.
