To the woman who spent years saying “yes” to everyone else while putting herself last - this one’s for you.
For the longest time, I thought being a "good" person meant saying yes to everything. I spent decades putting everyone else’s needs, goals, and comfort ahead of my own—always keeping the peace, playing it safe, and puttering along on auto-pilot.
If you’ve spent your 30s or 40s people-pleasing, you probably know that feeling of looking around one day and thinking: “Wait, where am I in my own life?”
Turning 40+ brings this incredible shift. You stop caring so much about what people think, and you start realising that time is too precious to spend ignoring your own potential, especially when it comes to your time and financial independence.
It’s not just about money; it’s about having the freedom to choose how you spend your days, who you spend them with, and building a future that actually feels good to you.
If you’ve been feeling that nudge lately - that quiet voice telling you it’s time to stop putting yourself on the back burner and finally build something for yourself - I want you to know you’re not crazy, and you’re definitely not alone.
I put together a short video on my page from my friend and Mentor, Michele, where she talks about this exact shift, how to break out of that cycle, and what taking control of your financial future can actually look like in this chapter of life.
No pressure at all, but if that resonates with where you’re at right now, you can check it out here:
