What we are, and what we're not. Plainly.

ParkSyde Learning is Prep–Year 12 curriculum and support built on the learning sciences — explicit instruction, guided exploration, and Universal Design for Learning — mapped to the curriculum and achievement standards your own state actually works to.

What it isn't: a school. We don't enrol your child, we don't award anything, and we're not a registering body — registration stays yours. It also isn't a full replacement for a school year. Counted today it's 97 units, 402 lessons, about 308 hours across 13 year levels. A full Australian school year runs closer to 1,000 hours. So this is a spine to build your year around, not the whole thing — and more units are being authored, with that figure moving as they land.

You can check the exact count for your child's year on the curriculum page, any time. We publish it because you should be able to hold us to it.

We will say no to a test you have offered to pay for.

Achievement testing only happens where there's a significant gap between how your child reasons and how they're performing. That gap is the thing the test can actually explain. Without it, the result tells you what you already know and costs you several hundred dollars to hear — so we say that instead of taking the booking.

A screener isn't a diagnosis either. Rating scales build a picture across settings and over time; they're evidence, not a verdict.

You're welcome to disagree and go elsewhere. We'd rather you knew our reasoning than assumed we were upselling.

Nothing is recommended before someone qualified says it's warranted.
