🎣 ONE TRIP MAY BE OVER — BUT THE MISSION CONTINUES 🇦🇺

While it’s disappointing that this year we had to justify our Tiwi trip and explain the benefits it provides to veterans, we can say one thing with pride — we did it ourselves.

We fully self-funded the entire trip through our Friday night raffle fundraising. No handouts, no shortcuts — just veterans and supporters putting in the work to make it happen.

And don’t worry… WE’LL BE BACK. Bigger, stronger and more determined than ever. 💪

As for the keyboard warriors — keep typing. Every comment, every criticism and every bit of negativity just gives us another reason to keep pushing forward.

And let’s face it… we must be doing something right.

We already have TWO 5-day trips booked for 2027, supporting other veteran organisations from around Australia.

Because we believe in one simple thing:

A veteran is a veteran — regardless of what state they live in. 🇦🇺

Our goal for 2027 is to bring more veterans to the NT to experience what we have up here — the fishing, the country, the mateship and, most importantly, the chance to step away from everyday life, breathe a little and reconnect with good people.

We’re currently working on costings and packages that other veteran organisations can fundraise towards, making it easier for their members to get up here and experience what we do.

This isn’t about who gets the credit.

It’s about getting veterans together.

It’s about sharing experiences.

It’s about building mate ship.

It’s about creating opportunities.

And it’s about proving what can happen when veteran organisations stop competing and start working together.

So, to the people who support us — THANK YOU.

To the people who question us — THANK YOU TOO.

Both give us another reason to keep moving forward.

🎣 SCHOOL HOLIDAY BARRA MISSION! 🎣

We’ve had heaps of people asking if they can tag along, so with the school holidays starting…
LET’S GO FISHING! 😂

Next Monday we’re heading off chasing some freshwater barra in a safe, non-tidal river. Nice and easy, and best of all, people can come and go as they please.

Because let’s be honest… we all know how long the average kid’s attention span lasts when the fish aren’t biting! 🤣

👊 Vets, non-vets, partners, kids — everyone’s welcome.

No program. No speeches. No bu****it.
Just a social day, a bit of fishing, a bit of banter and getting the kids out of the house!😂🎣

We’ll put the times and meeting details up over the weekend once we’ve checked the ramp and water height.

So, grab the kids, grab the fishing gear and come have a crack.

Fish optional. Kids mandatory. Complaining about no fish absolutely guaranteed. 🤣🎣

Amazing week away with the guys from reeling vetrans cant wait to do it all again forces to work was put to the challenge and came through with flying colours.
595kms all up 480litres of fuel and smiles all round
