I visited my favourite health store yesterday (Nature's Health in Traralgon, if you're in the area) and came across these goodies. Normally I make my own but as I'm the only one who eats them and currently time poor, I took a short cut.
Those who have been following for a while know I love kimchi but I thought we should provide a short recap on why these foods are beneficial to gut health.
🌿 Fermented foods are one of the simplest ways to support a healthy gut microbiome.
Foods such as kimchi, sauerkraut, kefir, yoghurt and kombucha naturally contain beneficial bacteria that help nourish the trillions of microbes living in your digestive tract. A diverse and balanced microbiome plays an important role in digestion, nutrient absorption, immune function, mood regulation and inflammation control.
By regularly including fermented foods in your diet, you're helping to replenish beneficial bacteria, support gut health and create a stronger foundation for overall wellbeing. Small daily habits can have a powerful impact on long-term health 🌱
