Demet had an amazing day exploring African culture in Footscray

From experiencing traditional African clothing to learning about cultural customs, she was fully engaged and curious throughout the visit. A highlight of the day was the beautiful Eritrean coffee ceremony, freshly roasted and ground on the spot, served with honey and a touch of ginger

Demet absolutely loved the experience and expressed so much joy discovering new traditions, flavours, and stories. Moments like these build confidence, connection, and a deeper understanding of the world around us

Autism is a lifelong developmental condition that affects how a person communicates, interacts, and experiences the world.

Awareness is important because it helps build understanding, acceptance, and inclusion for individuals on the spectrum, creating a community where everyone feels valued and supported.

Mental Health Matters, please note You’re Not Alone

Some days don’t look heavy from the outside…
but inside, everything feels loud, confusing, and exhausting.

I once met a man sitting quietly at a park bench.
Well dressed. Calm. Normal, you’d think.
But when I asked how he was, he said,
I don’t even know where to start… I just feel lost.

That sentence will stay with me forever.

So many people around us are carrying silent battles.
Smiling. Working. Showing up. But struggling deeply inside.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low, or not yourself, please don’t handle it alone. Talking to someone is not weakness.
It’s strength. It’s courage. It’s the first step toward healing.

Where to start:
• Speak to your GP (doctor)
• Ask for a Mental Health Care Plan
• Connect with a psychologist or counsellor
• Reach out to someone you trust
• Call a support line anytime or even just to talk

Free & confidential support (Australia)
• Lifeline Australia 13 11 14 (24/7)
• Beyond Blue 1300 22 4636
• Su***de Call Back Service 1300 659 467
• In an emergency 000

Check in on your friends.
Check in on yourself.
A simple “Are you okay?” can save a life.
You matter more than you think.
Help is always available..... Always.
