Flynn’s Bins A smiley guy with an obsession for tearing up paper

May was spent dropping off Flynn’s bins and then exploring places we haven’t been before! Lots of footy games, cooking, bowling and ripping up paper of course! Flynn and his support workers went to the ATSA Disability Expo and looked at all the new equipment, looking for his next set of wheels! 🦽

📣We have more bins!
If you need a bin on a regular basis we can leave one with you and you just message us when it’s full. Leave it at your front door and we will swap it out for an empty one! Too easy!

Message us if you’d like a bin dropped off to your place!

It’s been a busy month so we’ve been a little quiet online but Flynny is still working on his shredding and we are very happy to have some steady clients. So much so that we are planning to get more bins! Drop us a message and we can drop a bin to your home or business on a Monday or Wednesday. The best thing is it’s a free service and you don’t even need to be at home to make it happen!

Today, Flynn picked up a bin from The Sensory studio and donated more shredded paper to the Bally patch.
He also did a few shredding shifts this afternoon. Go Flynn!

A beautiful day for a wander at Mt Kembla Mining Memorial before getting down to do some deliveries. First stop was stevesjoinery and then to visit the lovely Erin at our favourite local shop The Sensory Studio. We also stopped by the community garden Bally's Patch to drop off some of our shredded paper that is going to be mixed into their mulch. Big shout out to Tim for connecting us to them and we are hoping we can do more to help them out soon. What a great way to reuse all this paper!!

A very busy day today for Flynn and his Disability Support Worker (DSW) Art. After a workout in the pool at Beaton Park they picked up bins from Aspect and Jacqui in Corrimal, then headed south to bcrcommunities to see Leonie and drop a bin to their office. Another quick stop to see his Year 12 teacher Daley at Para Meadows and pick up his old walker then back home. And now we shred…

Last week Flynn and Art met with Erin from Aspect South Coast School to drop off a bin.
One of the biggest drivers for us starting Flynn’s Bins is to provide him with lots of opportunities to be an active member of his community. We are so happy with how Flynn’s Bins is going and can’t wait to see what adventures the coming weeks bring.
And from Erin - “Thank you Flynn for coming to our school! Students are taking on the responsibilities of collecting paper from other classrooms. We can’t wait to see you next time to pick up all the paper we are collecting and for our new bin! Thanks Flynn!”
