Join us for Living Well After Stroke, a free information session at Royal Rehab Ryde for people who have experienced a stroke, their family members and carers.

Hear from our clinicians across dietetics, speech pathology and recreational therapy, with practical sessions covering:
🟠Shake the salt habit: nutrition after stroke – discover simple ways to make healthier food choices and reduce salt after stroke
🟠 Communication for living well after stroke – explore communication and swallowing after stroke, with practical information to support everyday life
🟠 Getting back to what matters – explore how recreation and meaningful activities can support wellbeing after stroke

Recovery after stroke is different for everyone, but it doesn't stop when a person leaves hospital.

For Khue, continuing rehabilitation meant working towards improving his walking and getting back to the things that matter most to him.

With support from the Royal Rehab LifeWorks team, his program combines physiotherapy using advanced technology like the C-Mill, ZeroG and TYMO with recreational therapy, including adaptive cycling.

We're incredibly proud to celebrate physiotherapist Elizabeth Evans, who has been appointed as Team Physiotherapist for Team Samoa at this year's Commonwealth Games.

Elizabeth, who works at Royal Rehab LifeWorks as a Physiotherapist and Clinical Lead for Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology, has earned this appointment in recognition of her expertise, professionalism and dedication to physiotherapy. It's a fantastic personal achievement and an exciting opportunity to contribute her skills on the international stage.

We're delighted to recognise Elizabeth's accomplishment and wish her, along with Team Samoa, every success throughout the Games. And, while we're at it, we're also cheering on Team Australia and wishing them all the best for a successful Games.

What a day!

The Cairns Marathon brought the energy, and our Royal Rehab LifeWorks and FNQ Health and Fitness teams definitely showed up! A huge shout-out to our 40+ staff and clients who took on the 5km walk challenge, crossing the finish line. We couldn’t be prouder!

It was also pretty special to see our Royal Rehab Group CEO, Matt Mackay present the awards for the Biggest School Team and Largest Fundraiser. What an awesome way to celebrate the incredible community behind this event.

We’re so proud to be one of the sponsors of the Cairns Marathon and to be part of a day that brings so many people together.

To everyone who participated, volunteered, donated or cheered from the sidelines, thank you for making it such a memorable day.

The Orange Tsunami from Royal Rehab LifeWorks and FNQ Health & Fitness is out in force, and our team is loving being part of such an incredible morning.

Our free massage therapy marquee has been a huge hit, with plenty of runners and walkers stopping by to loosen up and recover.
