National Reconciliation Week has looked a bit different across our teams this year.

Some came together over morning tea and conversation. Others spent time learning, reflecting and supporting First Nations businesses, or raising their voices for reconciliation through song.

In a few places, it was simply about making space to talk and listen. There’s no single way to “do” reconciliation week and that’s probably the point.

What matters is taking the time, being open, and thinking about what we can each do differently. The week might be wrapping up, but the work doesn’t.

Team members from across Western NSW spent the day at Breakthru Dubbo for National Reconciliation Week, taking time to pause and connect.

They began in a circle with an Acknowledgement of Country, which set the tone for the day and created space to slow down, reflect, and be present. From there, the day unfolded naturally as conversations opened up and stories were shared.

Artwork and handprints brought everyone together in a really simple way, with each person adding their own touch and leaving something of themselves behind. A sincere thank you to Uncle Ralph Naden and our community partners for generously sharing their knowledge and guiding the day. We’re grateful to have been part of it.

Today marks the start of National Reconciliation Week, and across Royal Rehab Group we’ll be taking some time to pause, reflect, and learn.

This year’s theme, “All In”, is an important reminder that reconciliation isn't something that happens overnight. It’s about showing up, listening, and thinking about the part we each play moving forward.

Throughout the week, our teams across the Group will be coming together in different ways to recognise and learn more about the histories, cultures, and experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

And, more importantly, to keep listening and learning beyond this week too.

What an incredible afternoon of impact!

Thank you to the more than 170 guests who joined us today at our 2026 Annual Giving Luncheon in support of the Royal Rehab Foundation.

Guests had the opportunity to hear from our incredible speakers, author Dr Olivia Ong and world #1 Adaptive prone assist surfer Lee Ferrier, whose stories reinforced the lasting impact specialised rehabilitation can have on people rebuilding their lives.

A special thank you to our wonderful MC Taylor Aiken, auctioneer Scott Gibbons OAM, major event sponsor Toyota Fleet Management Australia and Wine Pull sponsor Gladesville Cellars for helping make the day such a success.

Together, we raised more than $60,000, an incredible result that will directly support vital therapies, services and rehabilitation equipment for people in need.

Thank you again to our sponsors, supporters, donors and everyone who joined us and helped make the day so memorable.

Today is International Nurses Day, and we want to acknowledge the contribution of nurses across Royal Rehab Group.

We asked some of our nurses what matters most in their work. A common theme that came through was the importance of being there for people during important moments and supporting them through rehabilitation with care, respect, and consistency.

Our nurses play an important role across every part of our organisation, supporting clients, families, and teams each day through their knowledge, professionalism, and care.

Thank you to all of our nurses for the commitment and compassion you bring to your work every day. Your contribution is deeply valued.

Happy International Nurses Day.
