Byron Botanicals was founded by Sharn Nulty, a Traditional Herbalist with over 15 years experience in the Natural Medicine Industry. Sharn has a passion for sharing her knowledge and gives workshops on Herbal manufacture including natural skin care product manufacture. Sharn also works as a Herbalist giving consultations both over the counter at Koda Phytorium in Byron Bay or in private clinic. Byron Botanicals also has its own range of Natural Skin care products and other Herbal Extracts, balms and salves that have been formulated by Sharn with her extensive knowledge of herbs and their amazing properties.

Plants have been used for centuries to support the body in its response to infection. Some herbs contain powerful compounds with broad spectrum anti microbial activity and are traditionally used when a deeper, systemic approach is needed.

We believe herbal medicine is the people’s medicine.
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn about plants, understand how they work and take greater responsibility for their own health.

But knowledge comes with responsibility. Powerful herbs are not automatically safe because they are natural. The individual herbs, its constituents, dosing, duration of use and interactions all matter.

Our aim is the educate and empower, not encourage self prescribing.

If you are dealing with an infection, taking any prescription medications, have underlying health conditions, are pregnant or breastfeeding, herbal medicine should be used under the guidance of a qualified practitioner or health care professional.

Plant medicine is powerful, the more we understand it, the more responsibly we can use it. 🌿
