Small steps every day give you the opportunity to move towards where you want to be tomorrow. You don't wake up suddenly unable to exercise, weighing 100kg+ & diabetic. You don't catch or inherit these things - for the most part. Well maybe the habits are inherited! But the choices that you make, whether to meal prep, shop, walk, move your body, eat takeaway, go to bed late, overspend etc - they add up over the days, weeks, years & decades. These small daily actions matter. That's the bad news & the good news. No-matter where you find yourself, new habits, new lifestyles, new diets can all be created literally one day at a time. Pick one area you are bad at, and begin to improve. Is it meal planning, is it movement, is it bedtimes, is it drinking too much?? Pick one & address that. Make it a manageable step that you can do on your hardest days. Feel how it feels to be a person who follows through & does what they say they will do. And build on that.
It is not bad luck, bad genes, bad finances. It is bad habits - on rinse and repeat for decades that causes most of our issues...
