It’s really one of the most common things we hear when clients come from another salon is that they can’t get their lashes wet.
As a lash tech for a good 20 years this drives me mad! Yes ‘back in the day’ we were told that you couldn’t get them wet for 24-48 hours but now days with good quality glue this is simply not the case!
Finishing your last set with a cleanse and water is key to our clients not sitting up after a lash set with the burning that once used to be (if you know - you know!) and the water actually helps to finalize the last stage of the glue as it cures - so if we wet them - why can’t you???
It is key to a healthy lash set that actually lasts that you wash your lashes properly each and every night! I’m sick of hearing clients say “but my lash lady told me not to get them wet!” If that is the case then you need to RUN!!! Can you even image all the gunk build up they would get if you don’t!!!! And I don’t mean just splash your face in the shower, they need to be washed and cleansed just as important as washing your face is!
You don’t sleep in your makeup - so why should your lashes!!!!
