Shining Wellness Ayurveda and Yoga Using the principles of ayurveda and yoga, Cara loves assisting people in connecting to their healing power and the divinity within themselves. Hi, I’m Cara.

Cara is passionate about heart-centred living and deepening our connection to nature. I remember when I was 16 years old, sitting on my bed and feeling this great emptiness in my heart. Like there was something really obvious that I was missing that others seemed to have. I thought the answer laid in something outside of me, that someone or something external to me would fill the gap in my heart.

I felt like I was living from my head rather than my heart or being fully in my body. I journeyed for many years in this way, trying to find something or someone that would fill that gap. Eventually through yoga and meditation I awakened to the truth that what I was seeking was already inside of me! Through working with my heart, I began to tap into its divinity and sacred spaces like unlimited love, gratitude, truth, peace and joy. Over the years, this has deepened, and I now feel a greater connection to myself, to others and to the richness of all life. It brings me great joy to be able to share with you, in this simple form, all that I have learned from the heart over the last 20 years. As a meditation and yoga teacher, self-inquiry facilitator, pranic healer and ayurvedic practitioner, I am passionate about the importance of being true to ourselves and living from our heart. I love to work with people who want to deepen their connection to themselves and others, and who crave to live wholeheartedly in their own truth. Living our truest and most divine selves inside the physical body is such a wonderful gift. Life is here to be experienced so why not make it a fun and expansive journey! About Shining Wellness...

What I love about Ayurveda is that it offers a holistic approach that treats the whole individual rather than just the imbalance. In an initial consultation a person's unique constitution is determined, allowing their individualised treatment to be developed. Ayurveda also includes yoga as one of its therapies. Yoga is not only the physical postures done in the class, it also includes many elements like pranayama (breathing techniques), self-awareness and focus with the goal of deep meditation. With the fast pace of life and many people feeling stressed and suffering from anxiety and depression, Cara of Shining Wellness, incorporates her knowledge of Ayurveda into the yoga classes as well as techniques to assist in the relaxation of the body and mind. Shining Wellness offers many services including:

I've really been enjoying how chair yoga makes yoga accessible to many people including those with mobility issues, injuries, office workers and students. It's amazing how simple seated stretches and strengthening practices can be really supportive to health and wellbeing.
