Today is World Spinal Cord Injury Day.

The 2026 theme, From Awareness to Action, is an important reminder that awareness alone doesn't create change.

Action can mean safer environments and greater accessibility. It can mean challenging assumptions about disability. It can mean listening to lived experience, supporting choice and removing barriers to participation.

And within Assistive Technology, it means continuing to put the individual at the centre of every conversation about mobility, seating, function and independence.

Today we join the global spinal cord injury community in turning awareness into meaningful action.

☀️ Client Photoshoot Day — Part 1!

The weather has absolutely turned it on for us today, with the most glorious sunshine for the first of our annual Astris PME client photoshoots!

These photoshoots are always such a fun — and important — part of our promotional calendar. Rather than relying on staged or stock imagery, we love showcasing real Astris PME clients, using real equipment, in real-life situations.

It’s about capturing mobility and equipment where it actually matters — out and about, enjoying everyday life, connecting with others and doing the things our clients love.

A huge thank you to our wonderful clients who agreed to be part of these shoots and allow us to share a little piece of their world. 💛

Check out some of today’s behind-the-scenes moments below — with plenty of laughs, sunshine and a glimpse of what goes into bringing our annual client photoshoots to life. 📸☀️

Stay tuned next week for more clients sharing their AT equipment journeys.

Made for Lightness. Made for Performance. Made for Me. 💛

Introducing the RGK Octane Sub4 Wheelchair, an exceptionally light, made-to-measure titanium wheelchair designed for smooth movement, comfort and everyday performance.

Weighing from just 4kg, the Octane Sub4 combines the classic Octane design with proven Sub4 technology and a handcrafted Grade 9 titanium frame. Titanium naturally absorbs shock and road vibration, helping deliver a smoother and more comfortable ride.

Strong, lightweight and corrosion resistant, the Octane Sub4 is built for active users who want a wheelchair that feels responsive, efficient and truly personal.

With individual measurements and ergonomic options, each chair is designed to support optimum posture, comfort and performance.

At Astris PME, our Made For Me approach means finding Assistive Technology solutions that are tailored to the person, their lifestyle and their goals.

September is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month.

Awareness matters. But what comes next matters even more.

It means listening to lived experience.

Challenging assumptions.
Creating accessible environments.
Supporting genuine choice.
And making sure people have access to the equipment, services and opportunities they need to participate in everyday life.

Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month is an opportunity to recognise the importance of inclusion, accessibility, choice and meaningful participation for people living with spinal cord injury.

Because awareness is only the beginning.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us, asked questions and made the session such a valuable one.

More learning, more connection and more Made For Me moments to come.

A Rifton Trike delivery day full of smiles. 💛

There is something special about seeing the right Assistive Technology support movement, confidence and everyday joy.

The Rifton Adaptive Tricycle is designed to help riders build strength, participation and independence, whether at home, in therapy or out in the community.

At Astris PME, moments like this reflect what Made For Me is all about: finding solutions that fit real people, real goals and real life.

Made for Riding. Made for Growth. Made for Me. 💛

Introducing the Rifton Adaptive Tricycle, designed to help children and teens experience the joy, movement and confidence of riding.

Whether used at home, school or in therapy, the Rifton Adaptive Tricycle supports strength, balance, reciprocal leg movement, coordination and social engagement.

Now with a new freewheel feature, caregivers can allow the tricycle to coast while the pedals stay still, giving riders the chance to rest while remaining safely seated. New high traction tyres also help improve performance across outdoor surfaces like gravel, dirt, woodchips and mud.

At Astris PME, our Made For Me approach means finding Assistive Technology solutions that support real goals, real movement and everyday participation.

A great look back at our MAT Workshop: What Clinicians Really Need to Know for Confident Assessment in Merimbula last week. 💛

It was fantastic to connect with local clinicians for a practical session focused on assessment, clinical reasoning and building confidence in the Assistive Technology journey.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to a valuable day of learning and discussion.
