Meet the newest member of the Anchor & Reset team: Quinn 🤖

Quinn had his first official shift today, and I am very pleased to report that he passed probation with flying colours. 😂

One of the things I am always conscious of during a reset is making the absolute most of the time someone has booked with me.

In an overwhelmed home, my hands are usually much more valuable sorting, organising, cleaning, getting laundry moving, clearing spaces and tackling the things that actually need a human brain attached to them.

But that has often meant floors are something I spot clean rather than spending valuable reset time fully vacuuming.

Enter Quinn. ✨

As I open up the floors and get things off the ground, I can set him loose to quietly vacuum behind me while I keep working elsewhere.

It means I’m still providing exactly the same hands-on reset I always have, but now I can leave even more of the home feeling finished when I walk out the door.

And yes, there is a reason his name is Quinn. ❤️

Quinn is named after a much-loved friend of mine who passed away recently.

Before Anchor & Reset had a name, a logo, clients or even a business plan, he was the first person I shared the what if with.

What if I could make something out of this?

What if there was a service for people who were overwhelmed and didn’t need someone to judge the state of their home, but simply needed someone to walk in, see what needed doing and help make things manageable again?

Quinn didn’t just humour my little thought bubble. He immediately saw something in it. He put thought and enthusiasm behind it and encouraged me to take the idea seriously before I really knew what it could become.

So when my little robot needed a name, there was really only one option.

It seems fitting that Quinn still gets to come along for the ride and help me make people’s homes feel a little lighter.

Although this version mostly eats dust, dirt and an impressive amount of pet hair. 😂

✨ What is an Environmental Reset?

Cleaning removes dirt.

An Environmental Reset removes barriers.

They’re not the same thing.

One of the questions I get asked is “What makes your service different?”

The answer is simple.

Anchor & Reset was created because I genuinely care about helping people find their footing again. Sometimes life gets overwhelming. Mental health, disability, chronic illness, grief, parenting, executive dysfunction, burnout… they don’t just affect how we feel. They affect our homes too.

I know how vulnerable it can feel to invite someone into a space that no longer feels manageable.

That’s why I’ve built my business around understanding people first, and the environment second.

To support that, I hold:

⚓️ Queensland Yellow Card / NDIS Worker Screening (Working with People with Disability)
⚓️ Certificate III in Community Support
⚓️ Mental Health First Aid Australia certification
⚓️ Current First Aid and CPR certification

These qualifications aren’t there to impress anyone, they’re there because I want to be as prepared as possible to support the people who trust me with their homes.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, recovering from illness, living with disability, navigating neurodivergence, adjusting to a major life change, or you’ve simply fallen behind, you don’t need to have it all together before asking for help.

You don’t need to apologise.
You don’t need to clean before I arrive.
And you certainly don’t need to explain why things got this way.

My job isn’t to judge your home.

My job is to help you get back to living in it.

Some homes become overwhelming slowly.

A basket of washing here. A sink of dishes there. A room you stop walking into because it feels too loud. A hundred tiny things left unfinished because you were already carrying too much.
