Our Monday Knitting Group brings together members of the NDIS community and members of the Deaf community from Wollongong for a relaxed and welcoming morning of knitting, conversation, friendship and plenty of laughs.

Whether you’re an experienced knitter or just keen to give it a go, everyone is welcome! 🧶✨
It’s more than just knitting, it’s about building connections, learning new skills and creating a community where everyone feels included.

We’ve got a month full of getting out into the community, trying new things, meeting people, having a laugh and making the most of what the Illawarra & Shoalhaven have to offer.

We're excited to share our August Day Program calendar, packed with a great mix of community outings, creative activities, social groups, and plenty of opportunities to make new friends.

From scenic walks and bowling to bingo, painting, museum visits, the zoo, and our monthly Men's and Women's Groups, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

👨‍🍳 Thursday 6 August – My Cooking Rules
We're wrapping up the week by supporting the amazing My Cooking Rules event.
Inspired by My Kitchen Rules, this inclusive cooking competition celebrates the creativity, confidence and culinary skills of people living with disability. Participants will prepare a dish before presenting it to a panel of Accredited Practising Dietitians, but the day is about so much more than cooking.
It's about:
🥘 Building confidence
🤝 Encouraging independence
🌟 Developing life skills
💙 Creating community connections
🎉 Celebrating every participant's achievements
We can't wait to be part of another event that showcases what's possible when people are given the opportunity to shine.

It's shaping up to be a busy and rewarding week, and we're looking forward to catching up with familiar faces, meeting new people, and continuing to strengthen our community one connection at a time.

This week, one of our clients reached out asking if we would nominate their support worker, Kristie for the Kismet Awards – Support Worker of the Year (Disability Services).

Their email spoke for itself.

Today we received confirmation that the nomination has officially progressed to the judging stage.

We're excited to share our August Day Program Calendar, packed with opportunities to get out into the community, build connections, learn new skills, and most importantly, have some fun!

This month we've made a conscious effort to focus on more community-based experiences, giving participants the opportunity to explore local attractions, enjoy social outings, stay active, and connect with others in meaningful ways. While we'll still have some of our favourite regular activities, August is all about getting out and making the most of what our local community has to offer.

Whether it's discovering somewhere new, catching up with friends, or trying something different, there's something for everyone.

Our Day Program runs Monday to Friday from 10:00am – 2:00pm, and participants are welcome to join as many or as few activities as they'd like.
