It was great to visit local pharmacist Frances Lae at Advantage Pharmacy Albion Park Rail.

Pharmacists do so much for people in the community - they provide trusted health advice, help people manage their medications, administer vaccinations and are an important part of the front line of our healthcare system.

I am incredibly honoured to have been named a Finalist for the New South Wales Community Pharmacist of the Year 2027.

This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the work our entire team does every single day to care for our community.

When I went into leadership for this pharmacy, my goal was simple—to create a place where every person feels welcomed, listened to and supported with genuine, evidence-based healthcare. Whether it's helping someone manage a chronic condition, providing a consult, supporting families through illness, or simply taking the time to answer questions, we're here to make a positive difference.

This finalist recognition isn't just about one person—it's a reflection of our incredible team, who consistently go above and beyond, and of our wonderful patients who place their trust in us every day. We feel privileged to be part of so many people's healthcare journeys.

Healthcare is constantly evolving, and we're committed to continuing to grow our knowledge and services so our community has access to the highest standard of care close to home.
