💜Today members of our team are proudly wearing purple to show our support for Wear it Purple Day, a day to stand with LGBTQIA+ young people and advocate for a world where they are safe, celebrated, and empowered. 💜

🌈 LGBTQIA+ youth face higher rates of bullying, harassment and mental health challenges than their heterosexual and cisgendered peers. That’s why creating inclusive, supportive, and affirming spaces is so important, not just today, but every day.

Waiting for a paediatric appointment before getting other supports for your child? You don’t have to.

A lot of families are told to wait for a diagnosis before accessing allied health services. But early support doesn’t work that way, and the earlier your little one gets the right input, the better 🤍

Swipe to see what early intervention actually looks like. Know a parent sitting on a waitlist right now? Send this their way.

“Will they grow out of it?”
It’s one of the most common questions we hear from parents, and a really valid one.

Learning to talk takes time, and some speech sound errors are a normal part of the process.

Unsure of where your child is at, or simply just wanting to check?
It can be worth checking in with a Speech Pathologist if:
🔆 Your child is 3 or older and often hard to understand
🔆 You find yourself regularly translating for others
🔆 Their speech sound errors have been sticking around without much change
🔆 They’re showing signs of frustration or avoiding certain words

When speech sound errors hang around longer than expected, they can start to affect a child’s confidence, communication, and early literacy development.

If you’re not sure where your child is at, our Speech Pathology team is here to help.
