Recently, we received some very sad news that one of our beloved colleagues Michelle and her family are going through an extremely difficult time, with her partner, Aaron, being diagnosed with Stage 4 aggressive Esophageal cancer.

Michelle and Aaron are a beautiful family with three gorgeous boys, all aged 10 and under. As you can imagine, this is an enormous amount for any family to face, and there is already so much for them to process and navigate.

The last thing we want Michelle and Aaron to have to worry about on top of everything else is the financial burden that can come with such an incredibly difficult time.

So, as a team and a community, we decided that we wanted to do something to help. ❤️

We have set up an AusPost Mastercard for Michelle and Aaron to use however they choose. We simply let them know the current balance so they don’t have to worry or stress when making purchases.

We’re really happy to hear that Michelle has already been able to use the card once or twice to purchase groceries and other necessities. 🛒❤️ Knowing that this support is already helping with some of the everyday things they need means so much to us.

And thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who has contributed, we have already raised over $1,500 for Michelle, Aaron and the boys! 🥹💙

We also wanted to create something special that Michelle, Aaron and the boys can keep as a little momento — something they can look at and be reminded of just how many people are behind them, supporting them and sending them love. 🥰

We are currently 3D printing a brick for every donation over $50, with the donor’s name printed on it. These bricks will be added to a board that we will present to Michelle, Aaron and the boys once it is filled.

You absolutely do not have to have a brick printed if you would prefer not to. Your donation can be anonymous or you can share a message of support that we will pass on to them.

🧁✨ Visitors, baking & BIG little wins! ✨🧁

A lovely morning tea with family meant it was time to get baking! Apple muffins, a mud cake, icing and, of course… SPRINKLES! ❤️🎂

But the sweetest part of the morning? A little milestone! 🥹

Her worker encouraged her to answer the front door when the doorbell rang, something she has not had the option of doing for around 9 years! This was such a special moment. 🏡💕

Since moving from aged care into her shared forever home, we think there will be plenty more smiles and special moments like this.

It’s these little moments that make us so proud! ❤️

And judging by today’s baking… we’re pretty sure there are plenty more baking sessions to come! 👩‍🍳🧁✨

We forgot to say one final thank you to everyone who supported us! 💙

Thanks to some incredibly generous last-minute donations, we not only reached our goal of $500—we smashed it! Every dollar raised will help support the important work of the Do It For Dolly Day Foundation, and we're so grateful for everyone who contributed, shared our message, and helped raise awareness about the impact bullying can have on young people.

Together, we can continue encouraging kindness, support, and the courage to speak up.
