Breastfeeding is about SO much more than how many minutes your baby spends at the breast.

Rather than just timing the feed, look at the bigger picture 👇🏼

⭐️ Are they actively drinking and swallowing?
⭐️ Are they transferring milk effectively?
⭐️ Are they showing signs of being satisfied?
⭐️ Are they gaining weight and having plenty of wet nappies?

Every baby is different, and every feed can look different.

Let’s stop focusing solely on the clock and start looking at the baby in front of us. 🤍

Save this for your breastfeeding journey!

A little pregnancy update 🤍

I wasn’t expecting a short cervix to be part of this pregnancy journey, and it’s definitely been a reminder that no two pregnancies are the same.

It’s been a mix of navigating the unknowns, learning to slow down and reminding myself to take things one day at a time. 🤍

Sharing this because pregnancy isn’t always the perfectly smooth journey we see online, and sometimes it helps to know you’re not the only one navigating the unexpected.

Ni**le pain is not normal 🫠

If you're experiencing ni**le pain it means baby isn't able to draw in enough breast tissue to get the ni**le to the soft palate of their mouth. Often caused by poor positioning between the mother and baby dyad or potentially oral restrictions.

If you would like further support with this, reach out! I would love to support you 🥰

Paced bottle feeding helps mimic the natural rhythm of breastfeeding.
supporting babies to feed more slowly, recognise fullness cues, and reduce the risk of overfeeding.

Instead of tipping the bottle straight up, baby is fed more upright with regular pauses, allowing them to suck, swallow, breathe, and rest comfortably.

Benefits of paced bottle feeding:
• Supports responsive feeding
• Helps prevent gulping and discomfort
• Can reduce bottle preference
• Gives baby more control over the feed
• Encourages a calmer feeding experience
