💜 FAMILY, PURPOSE & MAKING A DIFFERENCE 💜

Looking at this photo fills my heart with so much pride.

Not only am I standing alongside my husband and daughter, but I'm standing beside two people who share the same passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others.

As a family, we've built our lives around supporting people, creating opportunities, and helping our participants live the lives they choose. To be able to work together every day towards a common goal is something truly special.

There are certainly challenges that come with working alongside family, but there is also a unique understanding, trust, and shared purpose that can't be replicated. We celebrate the wins together, learn from the tough days together, and remain focused on why we started this journey in the first place.

At Encore Support, our mission has always been about people. It's about creating a service where participants feel valued, respected, included, and empowered to achieve their goals. Knowing that our family is united in that vision makes every achievement even more meaningful.

💜 NOT ALL DISABILITIES LOOK THE SAME 💜

When many people think of disability, they often picture something visible. But the reality is that many disabilities cannot be seen.

Conditions such as autism, ADHD, chronic pain, epilepsy, mental health conditions, acquired brain injuries, sensory impairments, and many other disabilities may not be immediately obvious to others.

Just because someone doesn't "look disabled" doesn't mean they aren't facing challenges every day.

🌟 A little kindness goes a long way.
🌟 Listen without judgment.
🌟 Avoid making assumptions.
🌟 Respect individual experiences.
🌟 Remember that everyone's journey is different.

Growing up in a large family with siblings who have a range of disabilities and special needs inspired Charley to pursue a career in disability support. This lived experience helped shape her passion for supporting others and creating meaningful connections.

🎉 Congratulations Ruby Nesbitt – Youth Award Nominee! 🌟

Today we are incredibly proud to celebrate one of our own, **Ruby Nesbitt**, on being nominated for the **Youth Award** in the **2026 Local Business Awards**.

The **Youth Award** is one of the most prestigious individual awards presented alongside **Business Person of the Year**. Unlike the industry categories, this award recognises the achievements, leadership and future potential of an outstanding young person in business.

She treats every participant with dignity, respect and kindness, empowering them to achieve their goals and live the life they choose. Families regularly share how much of a positive impact she has made in their lives, and her professionalism, reliability and dedication have earned the trust of participants, colleagues and the wider community alike.

Ruby consistently goes above and beyond, not because she has to—but because she genuinely cares. She is a wonderful role model, an incredible teammate and someone who represents everything Encore Support stands for.
