Today we went horse riding. This is a good way to assist a client with their core strength by having to 'continuously adjust their posture, strengthening deep stabilizing muscles.' It also 'Organizes Sensory Input: A riding environment provides controlled vestibular (balance) and proprioceptive (body awareness) input. This teaches the brain to process environmental stimuli more efficiently'. It also helps with their social and communication skills. It was a very lovely session. If you are interested in attending a session under your NDIS funding please inquire as it is simply stress relieving and totally has grounded my clients.
