🏡 HOUSEMATE OPPORTUNITY | SINGLETON

We’re looking for the right housemate to join a new supported living home in Singleton, available from 14 September.

This is a lovely home with plenty of space, and we’re looking for someone who would benefit from shared supports while continuing to build their independence, routines and confidence at home and in the community.

The right fit is really important to us. We want this to feel like a home, not just somewhere people receive support. We’ll take the time to consider personalities, support needs, routines and goals to make sure everyone feels comfortable and supported.

Suitable for someone who already has SIL funding or is currently exploring SIL options.

If you’re a participant, family member, Support Coordinator or know someone who may be a great fit, we’d love to have a chat.

🏉 Beckham’s First Touch Footy Carnival!🏉

A big day for Beckham as he took part in his very first touch footy carnival!🙌

He had an absolute ball getting out on the field, having a go and enjoying the experience with the team. It was awesome to see him getting involved, giving it a crack and having plenty of fun along the way! 💙

A pretty special first carnival and hopefully the first of many! 🏉👏

Weekly Wrap Up ✨

What a week we’ve had at Bright Start! 🌟

Monday kicked off the week with our Cooking Group making delicious homemade tacos 🌮👩‍🍳, before our Girls Group got creative and continued working on their personalised tote bags, putting the finishing touches on their designs and proudly completing their creations! 🎨👜✨

Tuesday was a busy one! Our group got stuck into washing cars 🚗🧽, cashed in cans and bottles 💰♻️ and then headed out for a well-deserved lunch together! 🫶🏻

Workshop Wednesday saw everyone getting creative with a photo perspective challenge 📸✨ Participants explored different ways to take photos, getting creative and thinking outside the box!

Thursday was all about getting out and about! Our group headed out to Hunter Wetlands 🌿🦆 for a fun day exploring the outdoors, enjoying the environment and spending time together.

Friday wrapped up the week with plenty happening at the centre! 🎨 We got creative with badge making and 3D designing, while also celebrating Blair’s 21st birthday 🎂🎉 Our one-on-one supports also headed out to Greenhills for some shopping, exploring and community access 🛍️💙

Another fantastic week of learning, creating, connecting and having fun! ✨
