Caresiah is currently seeking compassionate, reliable and experienced Female Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.

We are looking for support workers who are confident providing hands-on personal care, transfers, mobility assistance and physical support, and who have a genuine passion for supporting people to live safely and independently in their own homes.

The participant for this role is male, and male support workers are preferred to meet the participant's support preferences.

Role: Stroke Rehabilitation Support | Haddon

This is a rewarding opportunity to support a friendly and engaging gentleman following a stroke. Duties Include :

*Personal care and showering assistance�

*Physical support with mobility and transfers�

Ongoing encouragement to maximise independence and rehabilitation outcomes�

This role involves a significant amount of physical support, including manual handling, transfers and mobility assistance.

Applicants must be confident working in physically demanding environments and following safe manual handling practices.

Applicants with previous experience supporting people recovering from a stroke, people with complex physical support needs, or participants requiring manual handling and transfer assistance are strongly encouraged to apply.

Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or currently completing a Certificate�

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check�

Current First Aid & CPR Certificate�

Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module�

Reliable, insured vehicle and ability to travel to the participant's home�

Excellent communication skills�

A person-centred approach to support�

Confidence providing personal care, manual handling and physical support�

Ability to work consistently across the required roster�

This role is located in Haddon, so please ensure you are comfortable travelling to and working in this location.

Pay Rate: $41.10 per hour weekly rate. Other applicable penalties and allowances for weekend, public holiday and evening work.

We have some truly wonderful people on our team at Caresiah. While we regularly recognise our staff internally, we think it’s super important that we start letting the wider community know just how lucky we are to have them too!

A huge congratulations to Tamana and John, our Employees of the Month for July!

Tamana is recognised for her flexibility, excellent communication and the patience, understanding and respect she brings to supporting people with diverse needs. She stays connected with her team, adapts her approach to the individual and consistently demonstrates a genuine commitment to the people she supports.

John is recognised for his reliability, teamwork and willingness to step up whenever support is needed. His commitment to both our participants and his colleagues (particularly within our South West Vic team) does not go unnoticed. He is always willing to lend a hand and help keep things running when the team needs him.

Caresiah are seeking experienced, confident and reliable Disability Support Workers/Personal Care Assistants to assist a female participant living with Multiple Sclerosis.

This role primarily involves shorter, morning support shifts (Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun 9am-12pm and some additional shifts on a fortnightly basis) assisting with:

• Personal care
• Manual handling and transfers
• Mobility support
• General in-home assistance

About the ideal candidate:
• Has experience in manual handling (essential) and experience with slide board transfers (highly regarded)
• Is able to balance taking instruction and thinking independently to complete tasks and achieve positive outcomes
• Is confident in providing personal care and physical assistance
• Has effective communication skills and a positive attitude
• Is punctual, reliable and consistent

This participant prefers female support staff although male staff with appropriate skill sets are welcome to apply.

Requirements:
• Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working With Children Check (if applicable)
• Current Police Check
• Current First Aid & CPR
• Current driver licence and reliable vehicle
