This September, we wear gold in solidarity with the thousands of Australian children, families, survivors, and healthcare workers impacted by childhood cancer. π
Every year in Australia, around 760β1,000 children are diagnosed with cancer, and cancer remains the leading disease-related cause of death for Australian children. Around three children lose their lives every week, while many survivors continue to face lifelong health challenges as a result of treatment. Despite incredible progress in research and survival rates now exceeding 80%, there is still so much more to do.
By wearing gold, we honour the courage of every child fighting cancer, remember the lives lost too soon, and stand beside the families navigating unimaginable challenges. πποΈ
Together, we raise awareness, inspire hope, and remind every child and family facing cancer that they are not alone.
