❤️ THIS ISN’T MY USUAL HAIRDRESSING POST…

But sometimes there are things far more important than hair.

I don’t often use my business page for personal fundraisers, and I certainly wouldn’t share something like this unless it was incredibly close to my heart.

These are beautiful friends of ours — genuinely good people who would be far more comfortable helping somebody else than ever asking for help themselves.

Their gorgeous little girl Sofia has just turned five, and completely out of the blue, their world has been turned upside down. Sofia has been diagnosed with a serious heart defect and now needs to travel from Tasmania to Melbourne for further testing and heart surgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Her parents, Kate and Ethan, will be taking their whole little family with them and are expecting to be away for around 20 days if everything goes to plan. That means unpaid time away from work, lost income and all of the unexpected expenses that come with suddenly having to relocate your family interstate — while trying to navigate something no parent ever wants to face.

After a little convincing, they finally allowed me to set up this GoFundMe for them. ❤️

And this is where I’m asking my beautiful little salon community for some help.

I know life is expensive and I would never want anyone to feel pressured to donate. If you can spare $5, $10 or anything at all, it all adds up and will be so incredibly appreciated. But if donating isn’t possible, sharing this costs absolutely nothing — and it could make just as much difference.

My little business has given me the privilege of connecting with so many people over the years, and today I’m hoping we can use that reach for something bigger than hair.

Dark and dreamy hair!!

I absolutely love creating darker hair. The shine and movement that you have with darker hair is unmatched.... This beautiful lady had a full restyle as her long locks were doing not alot for her but just hanging there.... With a beautiful rich colour and restyle we turned her hair around!

✨ SHE’S FINALLY HERE. ✨

Only approximately two years in the making… 😂 but our new help-yourself refreshment station is FINALLY done — and honestly, she was worth the wait.

Right in the middle is the fridge you all know and love, stocked with drinks + water ready for you to help yourself.

Feeling snacky? Second drawer. Raid it. 😂
Biscuits, popcorn and plenty of little treats to keep you going.

And coming in the next few weeks, we’ll be adding a microwave too — because if you’re spending a couple of hours with me, you may as well make yourself at home. Heat up the lunch you forgot to eat at work, bring something for your evening appointment, or just make sure you’re fed while we create pretty hair.

The whole station is completely HELP YOURSELF.

No need to ask.
No need to wait for me to offer.
Grab a drink, raid the snack drawer and settle in. 🤎

It may have taken me two years to finally get around to it… although let’s be honest, I didn’t actually do much. We all know my husband just gets handed my ideas and is expected to make them happen. 😂

But as pretty as it looks, nothing makes me happier in my own space than seeing you treat it like yours too....

I want you to feel comfortable here. Kick back, grab what you want, make yourself at home and enjoy the few hours you spend with me.

🩷 We invest so much Money and time in our hair colour.... But sometimes we forget about the part that happens in between...

And I get it - life is EXPENSIVE, and where we choose to spend our money matters....

But your at home car is something I'll always try to encourage you to think about on a regular basis. Not because I want to SELL you another product, but because using the right shampoo+ conditioner and after care products can and will 100% protect your hair colour and help to maintain the condition of your hair and optimise its health before you're back in my salon chair!!!

Beautiful colour and healthy hair have always gone hand in hand for me...

When I recommend something, it's never about the hard sell. It's about recommending what I genuinely believe your hair needs, both in the salon and at home....
