✨SELF CARE 🍃
We all know that being a carer is one of the most important and rewarding jobs in the world… but burn out it’s valid, and common 😴
As a carer, it’s important to take time for yourself too! Go for a walk 🚶, take a shower 🚿, practice some breathing exercises 🧘‍♀️, do some journalling ✍️, watch a movie 🍿, listen to music 🎧, burn some essential oils ☺️, reach out to your support system 📞, or have an early night but and recharge your batteries 🛌
Take the time to practice some self care and recharge your batteries, for the wellbeing of yourself and your loved ones ❤️

INVISIBLE DISABILITIES - What are they?

Did you know that not all disabilities are obvious visually? 👀 Some disabilities aren’t even noticeable after having a full conversation with someone! 🗣️ So how do we understand invisible disabilities and support those affected by them?

🌻Did you know that the sunflower is a globally recognised symbol that allows individuals to discreetly indicate that they have a non-visible disability or condition? 🌻 This is typically worn on a lanyard or wristband with a green background, and can help professionals and other members of the public to accommodate for people who may have additional needs! It signals to others that the person wearing the sunflower accessory may need extra support, understanding, or time in public spaces!

Some examples of invisible disabilities include autism, attention deficit disorders such as ADHD, physical disabilities that may not be obvious, learning disabilities, sensory loss (including vision and hearing difficulties), and mental health conditions.

Tell us in the comments- did you know that the sunflower was the global symbol for hidden disabilities? 🌻

If you or someone you love/care for have an invisible disability and are seeking additional support, we would love to hear from you! Reach out via Facebook, or contact us on:
