3️⃣ Stillness: Sit with silence. No phone. No input. Watch what surfaces.

4️⃣ Digital detox: Screens spike dopamine, then leave you numb. Negative news makes more headlines. Step back, read a book and see how you feel.

5️⃣ Saying no: Protecting your peace is a form of progress. Stop explaining.

🌞 Nature and circadian health

✨ Welcome to Aum Healing Therapies ✨

I’m Charnie, owner and therapist of Aum Healing Therapies, dedicated to supporting balance, healing, and wellbeing through Bowen Therapy, Reiki, and Yoga.

Together, these modalities provide a unique understanding of the body, nervous system, energy, and spirit. The knowledge gained from all three allows me to support each client holistically, recognising that true wellbeing often involves far more than the area of discomfort alone.

🌿 Bowen Therapy

Bowen Therapy is a gentle, hands-on therapy that works with the muscles, fascia (connective tissue), joints, and nervous system. Using precise rolling movements, Bowen encourages the release of tension patterns held within the body and fascia, helping the nervous system reset and restore balance.

The fascia connects and supports every structure within the body, and when tension accumulates through stress, injury, or repetitive strain, it can influence posture, movement, and overall function. By helping release these patterns, Bowen encourages the body to reorganise itself more efficiently.

As tension eases, movement can improve, allowing the body to function more freely and the skeletal system to settle into a more balanced alignment.

✨ Reiki

Reiki is an ancient healing art based on the understanding that a universal life force flows through all living things. Across different cultures and traditions, this life force has been known as Qi, Prana, and Ki.

Ancient healing systems taught that when this energy flows freely, we experience greater vitality, clarity, emotional balance, and connection to ourselves. Reiki supports this natural flow, helping to calm the mind, nurture the spirit, and create space for healing on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels. Beyond relaxation, Reiki offers an opportunity to reconnect with the deeper wisdom and healing intelligence that exists within us all.

🧘‍♀️ Yoga

Yoga is a thousands-year-old practice originating in ancient India. The word Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word Yuj, meaning “to unite” or “to bring into wholeness.”

Traditionally, yoga was far more than a physical practice. It was developed as a pathway to create harmony between body, mind, breath, and spirit, while cultivating greater self-awareness and inner peace. Through movement, breathwork, and mindfulness, yoga teaches us to become more present, regulate the nervous system, and reconnect with ourselves amidst the busyness of modern life.

🌸 How They Work Together

Bowen Therapy, Reiki, and Yoga each support a different aspect of wellbeing, yet all share the same intention: restoring balance. Bowen supports the physical body and nervous system, Reiki supports energetic and emotional harmony, and Yoga cultivates awareness and connection through movement and breath.

Together, they honour the ancient understanding that body, mind, and spirit are deeply interconnected. When one aspect is supported, the whole person can benefit.
