Bilateral Mastopexy (Breast Lift)

This patient presented with breast ptosis (drooping of the breast tissue) and underwent a bilateral mastopexy, or breast lift, following consultation and clinical assessment.

A vertical mastopexy technique was used to reposition and reshape the patient's existing breast tissue and reposition the nipple-areolar complex. No breast implants were used as part of this procedure.

📸 These before and after images show this patient's outcome following surgery.

Mastopexy is individually planned according to factors including existing breast shape, degree of ptosis, skin and tissue characteristics and the patient's treatment goals. The procedure involves permanent scarring, the location and extent of which depend on the surgical technique required.

In accordance with medical guidelines, all surgical or invasive procedures carry risks and potential complications (drlayt.com/surgery-risks-and-complications/). These guidelines recommend seeking a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner prior to proceeding with surgery.

Every patient is an individual and therefore final surgical results will vary from patient to patient. Results, risks and recovery are dependent on many factors including anatomy, tissue quality, healing and post-operative care.

Considering eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty)?

Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure involving the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both. Depending on individual anatomy and concerns, it may involve removing or repositioning excess skin and tissue around the eyelids.

The surgical approach varies between patients, which is why a thorough consultation is an important part of the decision-making process.

At The Layt Clinic, your individual anatomy, medical history, concerns and expectations will be assessed to determine whether eyelid surgery may be appropriate for you.

All surgery carries risks. Individual results and recovery experiences vary.

Google and AI can be helpful starting points for research, but they can’t assess you.

Your anatomy, medical history, concerns and individual circumstances all play a role in determining whether a treatment or procedure may be appropriate.

A consultation gives you the opportunity to discuss your options, potential risks, recovery, alternatives and realistic expectations with a qualified health practitioner.

Use online information to get informed, but not as a substitute for personalised medical advice.

This patient presented with concerns regarding excess skin and tissue around the abdomen, hips and lower back.

On clinical assessment, findings included abdominal skin excess, separation of the abdominal muscles (re**us diastasis) and localised adiposity. As the areas of concern extended around the body, the options of staged procedures versus a circumferential approach were discussed.

Following consultation and assessment, she underwent a circumferential body lift, sometimes referred to as a 360-degree body lift.

This procedure combines an extended abdominoplasty with a posterior body lift, allowing excess skin and tissue around the abdomen, hips and lower back to be addressed within the same surgical procedure.

Body contouring procedures are tailored to the individual. The most appropriate surgical approach depends on factors including the location and extent of excess skin, anatomy, tissue quality, weight stability and individual treatment goals. A thorough consultation and clinical examination are essential to determine an appropriate treatment plan.

Healthy skin starts with the right routine.

Two of the most common skincare mistakes we see are not applying SPF daily and using too many active products at once. A consistent, balanced routine tailored to your skin is often the best place to start.

If you’d like personalised skincare advice, book a consultation with our team.
