What actually happens during breast augmentation, and what comes after?
Dr Drew Cronin explains that understanding the process is one of the most common things patients want to walk through in consultation. Breast augmentation procedure typically lasts around 60-90 minutes, with the specific technique and placement discussed based on each patient's anatomy and goals.
Breast augmentation is performed as a day procedure, and patients will wake from surgery in the recovery area, already fitted with their post-operative surgical garment.
Recovery experiences vary from person to person, and the timeline is not the same for everyone.
Every patient's situation is different, and decisions should always be made in consultation with a qualified Specialist Plastic Surgeon.
