Today we attended the Penrith Community Aged Care Expo at Penrith RSL, and it was a fantastic opportunity to connect with other aged care providers and community services across our region.

As an allied health provider, we’re always looking to build relationships, learn about new resources available in our community, and strengthen the network of support available to our clients. It was also a great opportunity to chat with attendees, hear about the needs and priorities of our local ageing community, and better understand how we can continue supporting people to live independently and well.

It was wonderful to catch up with familiar faces and friends across the industry as well. Thank you to the organisers for such a valuable community event; we’re looking forward to continuing the conversations that started today. 💙

Earlier this month, one of our Directors and Physiotherapists, Michael, travelled to Queensland to attend both the Gold Coast Disability Expo and the Seniors Expo Australia event in Robina.

As a provider supporting people living with disabilities and older adults, these events provided a valuable opportunity to gain insight into the disability and aged care landscape on an interstate level. Staying connected with industry developments helps us better understand emerging services, technologies, supports, and innovations that can enhance outcomes for the people we work with every day.

With aged care and disability participants making up the majority of our caseload, we're committed to continually learning, networking, and staying informed to deliver the highest-quality allied health services possible.

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with providers from across Australia, explore new ideas, and bring valuable knowledge back to our team as we continue to grow and improve our services.

Research shows that around 60% of men wait more than a week to see a doctor when experiencing symptoms, while one in three delay seeking help for more than a month.

This week marks Men's Health Week, a national awareness campaign that encourages Australian men and boys to learn more about their health and wellbeing, access reliable health information, and seek support when needed.

A key focus of this year's campaign is the "101 Reasons to See Your GP" initiative by Healthy Male, which encourages men to take proactive steps towards better health through regular check-ups, preventative screening, and early intervention.
