Your body might not need another workout. It might just need movement.

After sitting for hours, your hips, hamstrings and spine have spent a long time in very similar positions.

A relaxed forward fold gives the entire back side of the body an opportunity to move and lengthen again.

But there’s no prize for touching the floor.

Let your head and arms relax. Keep your knees slightly bent if needed and allow gravity to gradually take you deeper instead of pulling yourself down.

The goal is to create comfortable movement, not to prove how flexible you are.

And while positions like this can feel great in the moment, long-term mobility comes from more than stretching.

You want mobility, strength and control working together so your body can actually use the ranges you’re creating.
