Yesterday I felt so angry 😡
I was enraged by things I was hearing and seeing around the world, across social media and through everyday conversations.
And I thought…
Far out. Are we actually letting this win?
Because if the goal is to create chaos, fear, division and distrust, we’re certainly giving it plenty of energy.
We’re constantly being invited to choose a side.
Men against women.
Left against right.
Religion against the rest.
Trans against cis.
Us against them.
And yes, there are plenty of things worth being angry about.
But I realised that if I added my anger, outrage and judgement to the noise, I wasn’t creating change.
I was adding to the divide.
That doesn’t mean staying silent or ignoring injustice.
It means choosing HOW I show up.
Perhaps we don’t need more people fighting darkness with darkness.
Perhaps we need more people becoming conscious of what they’re putting into the collective.
And for me, that starts within.
Looking for the good in the world means first looking for the good within MYSELF.
Noticing where I’m judging.
Where I’m reacting.
Where I’m afraid.
Where I’m allowing someone else’s anger to become my own.
And choosing differently.
I believe we need both the healed feminine AND healed masculine within us.
The feminine brings compassion, connection, intuition and empathy.
The masculine brings courage, discernment, boundaries, safety and grounded action.
We need both.
Strength with compassion.
Courage with empathy.
Truth without cruelty.
Looking for the good doesn’t mean being naïve.
We can acknowledge the darkness without allowing it to harden our hearts.
So today, I’m choosing to look for the good.
Not because I don’t see the darkness.
Because I do - every. single. day.
But what we focus on, feed and amplify becomes part of the world we create.
So perhaps the ripple starts here.
With me.
With you.
With each of US.
We may not control everything happening around us…
But we can choose what we add to it.
✨ What are you adding to your world today?
